Faith comes by hearing, and hearing a preached word about the magnificent God who works salvation for His people through the worth and the work of His Son, Jesus. Paul, in his epistle to the Romans, says that the gospel is God's gospel concerning His Son. And this gospel is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). That is why true preaching is the greatest need in the Church and in the world.
